With separate Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) sections, the facility ensures focused care for each age group in a healing environment. The NICU is equipped to care for premature babies, low-birth-weight infants, and newborns with breathing difficulties, infections, or congenital conditions. Advanced incubators, radiant warmers, neonatal ventilators, CPAP machines, and phototherapy units are available for continuous monitoring and support. Special attention is given to infection control, temperature regulation, and nutrition to ensure that even the most fragile lives have the best chance at recovery and development.
In the PICU, we manage critically ill children up to 18 years of age with conditions ranging from severe infections, trauma, cardiac issues, seizures, and post-surgical recovery. Each bed is equipped with pediatric ventilators, multi-parameter monitors, defibrillators, and infusion systems tailored for children. The unit is managed by highly skilled pediatric intensivists, nurses trained in pediatric life support, and on-call specialists from cardiology, neurology, and surgery.
Family-centered care is a cornerstone of our ICU philosophy. We recognize that children heal faster in emotionally supportive environments. Hence, the ICU design includes comfortable spaces for parents, clear communication protocols, and regular updates by the pediatric care team. Parents are involved in the care process whenever possible, ensuring transparency and emotional reassurance.
